Accepting payments within your booking flow is a key component for any growing business. In this guide, you are going to learn how to setup Stripe payment for appointments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Get started with Stripe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you already have a Stripe account and understand the benefits of using Stripe, feel free to skip this section. For everyone else, let’s help you understand how Stripe works for your appointments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stripe refers to themselves as the “Payments infrastructure for the internet” but what does that mean? In short, Stripe makes it easy to accept payments from all kinds of different payment methods and from all different kinds of websites. If you have a website, think of Stripe as the connection between your website and your bank. Stripe processes your transactions and send your money off to your bank. It’s pretty much that easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To get started, register for a new Stripe account<\/a>. The registration process should only take a few minutes but it could take a couple days for your account to be ready to accept payments. Once you have your account setup, follow the steps below to connect Stripe payments for appointments with Start Booking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Setup Stripe appointment payments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Time needed:\u00a0<\/span>15 minutes. <\/p>

The following steps will guide you to setup Stripe payments for your online appointments.<\/p>

  1. Create your Start Booking account<\/strong>

    If you don’t already have a Start Booking account, you can get started a new account<\/a>. Otherwise, log into your Start Booking account. <\/p> <\/li>

  2. Connect Stripe with Start Booking<\/strong>

    Now that you are logged into your Start Booking account, navigate to your integrations<\/a> section of your account center (https:\/\/app.startbooking.com\/#\/account\/integrations) and click on Stripe to begin the connection process.\"Online<\/p> <\/li>

  3. Adjust your payment settings<\/strong>

    Once you return back to Start Booking after connecting Stripe, it’s time to adjust a couple of your settings. You can enable if you want your Start Booking customers to be pushed into your Stripe account when they book with you. The second setting determines if your customers are required to pay before making a booking. The last setting is optional based on if you have coupons enabled with your account.\"Stripe<\/p> <\/li>

  4. Display Stripe payments for your appointment bookings<\/strong>

    Now that Stripe is fully connected, the last step is to enable the payment form to display with your appointment booking flow. To display the payment form, go to your Start Booking form editor (https:\/\/app.startbooking.com\/#\/editor\/service\/details) and click on the details tab.
